Welcome to our knock-out game and the road to BUMSBowl XIII starts this weekend. There are no changes to the rules so to refresh your memory here’s how this knock-out tournament works. It’s a head-to-head contest with the highest scorer in each game going through. You must select 1 QB, 1 kicker and any 4 outfield players to play within a budget of $7.5 million using the same player prices as the regular season. (See attached spreadsheet). You can change all players between each round and in each game no more than 2 players can appear in both teams. Get your teams back to me by 10am on Saturday so we can sort out any swaps needed. Whoever gets their team to me first gets first pick of players to swap, if necessary, so a speedy reply is of the essence. If the scores are tied at the end of the games the tie-breaker is the Momentum Rule where the player that scored latest in any game. As always top scoring owner plays lowest and so on, so here are the Wildcard match ups. Wayne will play Ron, Chief v Cheryl (in Cooperbowl 1), John v Daz, Johnny v George, Dave G v Mark B, Mark H v AP, Andy H v David S and Aaron v Marcus (in Cooperbowl 2). NFL Play-offs In the AFC the champs are the Titans (South 13-3) and the Steelers (North 12-4) with bye weeks & Miami (East 11-5) and San Diego (West 8-8) playing in the wildcard games at home to Baltimore (11-5) and Indianapolis (12-4) respectively. In the NFC the champs are NY Giants (East 12-4) & Carolina (South 12-4) with bye weeks & Minnesota (North 10-6) and Arizona (West 9-7) playing in the wildcard games at home to Philadelphia (9-6-1) and Atlanta (11-5) respectively. BUMS on Seats. We will meet at Mark’s from 9:30pm on Saturday night for Atlanta’s visit to Arizona. The second game (Indianapolis @ San Diego) kick’s off at 1am Sunday morning & we will watch this on Sunday from 5pm at BUMS HQ followed at 7pm by Baltimore @ Miami and finally Philadelphia travel to Minnesota for a 9:30pm kick-off. The viewing plan for the Divisional games on Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th January should be the same featuring one live game at 9:30pm on Saturday, then we will be getting together at 5pm Sunday afternoon at BUMS HQ for a triple header, starting with the recorded 1am second Saturday game then the two live games on Sunday evening.
